A Building With a Story

Built in 1830, The Reserve on Main carries nearly two centuries of character, craftsmanship, and connection to downtown Painesville. Today, we’re preserving its history while creating space for a new chapter on Main Street.

WHO WE ARE

The Reserve on Main was brought to life by two best friends who met in college and later had the opportunity to serve together in the U.S. Marine Corps. Years later, that same friendship brought them back together with a shared vision: to restore a historic Main Street building and give it a new purpose within the community. They wanted to create a space where all kinds of businesses could have a real opportunity to establish a storefront — from familiar local names looking to grow to new ideas taking their first steps into a physical space. At the same time, they believed a building with this much history and character should be enjoyed by everyone. Today, The Reserve on Main welcomes businesses, celebrations, gatherings, and special occasions, creating a space where the character of the past meets the possibilities of what comes next.
